Internet Marketing and some Pitfalls

Internet Marketing reminds me of MLM (Multi-Level-Marketing) back before the computer changed the way everything is viewed and  business was  transacted. Year ago you could have meetings and network till you had a downline to sale all your products.

With the invention of the computer you just have to find a way to drive people to your web site and sign up to your newsletter and market to them without ever leaving the comfort of your home.

The problem with internet marketing is, once you get in the mainstream of all the lists that are circulating you must sort through all the offers to join each persons sales page and before long you have 100′s of one time offers to sort through.

Which one is the best, which one is the least expensive, which one has the cheapest  monthly fee to stay involved… Several hundred dollars later you pull your hair out because you have this great site and no visitors… which of course is the way to make your streams of income….a huge list of people to sale too.

So, after only a few months in the Internet Marketing venue I can tell you is find a way to generate those lists of people to work with all your great products….I just wonder how long and how much money I will have to spend to get me about 20,000 people that trust me and the many products that I will offer them…

Oh, What great fun this is and I see why so many people give up before they master Internet Marketing.

Personally, I have never given up on anything and I don’t intend on letting this information overload get to me.

Back to my list development.

  1. Hi Darrel,

I totally agree with this post. After singing up to many mailing lists myself I probably receive at least 20 one-time offers daily that all look so tempting and take up a lot of my valuable time reading through all their sales pages. Some are decent, some are not work the webspace they are printed on. But the key is they all take up value time and resource and not to mention money.

I now personally do not read any email offers until the end of the day in my free time and I have a system of storing the offers that really grab my attention in a folder called ”IM offers to review”in my Internet Explorer Favourites. What I usually find is that I never go back to buy those offers that looked so tempting to begin with but I have them stored for when I have some free time to review them properly thus not wasting my own value time that I could be using for my online business. Bit of a ramble here but hope it helps.

Nice website by the way. Keep up the positive posts!

  2. Darrel,

I understand your comments on MLM, been there, done that, got the T-Shirt and an attic full of videos! I know this is different and staying focussed on the Masterclass and it’s teachings is all we now have to do. Resist all others who are trying to temp you. I am not sure if we understand what we have our hands on here and how the Masterclass will develop. The fact that we are amongst the first students (the class of 2009) gives me great hope that we will all succeed in this pioneering venture.

    All the best

  3. Hi Darrel,
    I like your blog.
I share your thoughts on sifting through all of the products that are available, which one is best, cheapest etc….I think we’ve both found a great one.
I’ve subscribed to your blog and looking forward to reading more.
    cheers

  4. Hello Darrel,
Just wanted to let you know that after the birthday blowout I had over 50 e-mails in one day. I know the key to our success is in viral strategies and John uses it everywhere if your looking at his websites and offers carefully. That is why he is wanting us to get to know one another. So we can team up and share our offers and links on each others sites to explode our exposure like he does.I am carefully waiting to see what he has planned for us.
I wish you the best of luck and count me in when it comes time to team up with someone who will NOT quit. I have never given up on anything and am not about to start now.
    Regards,
    Cragar
